Cunard Line
Cruise Style: Luxury
One of the world’s most distinguished names in ocean travel since 1840, Cunard has a long and distinguished record of deluxe transatlantic crossings and worldwide cruising. Cunard liners are legendary for comfortable accommodations, excellent cuisine, personal service, and far-flung destinations. The Queen Elizabeth 2 is the last of the great liners to regularly schedule crossings between New York and Southampton.
Special Features
Cunard has been in the business of providing ocean travel for more than 160 years. When crossing the Atlantic, Queen Elizabeth 2 is a city at sea with distinct classes of passage/service. Dining room assignments are made according to class of accommodation booked. However, public rooms are open to all passengers, except the Queen’s Grill Lounge, reserved for Grill Class passengers. Other than the first and last nights on board, formal attire is the norm on Queen Elizabeth 2.
Delightful daily events are afternoon tea and the maritime tradition of sounding the ship’s bell at noon.
