FUN FACTSSix
courses of American-inspired Continental cuisine are served atop
elegantly appointed tables set with Villeroy & Boch China and
European crystal in the formal dining room.
Attire is always resort casual and meals are open seating in the
dining room and by reservation in the specialty restaurants:
Toscana, the Italian trattoria and the steakhouse, Polo Grill.
Each evening, the alfresco dining area of the casual Terrace Cafe
becomes Tapas on the Terrace with a buffet featuring authentic
tapas, paellas and other regional specialties from Spain and the
surrounding Mediterranean.
All accommodations feature Oceania's "Tranquility Bed" with euro
top mattresses, plush duvets, goose down pillows, and Egyptian
cotton linens.
Concierge Level Staterooms with balconies in preferred locations
on Deck 7 offer an extra level of service comparable to suites,
including priority embarkation, restaurant reservations and luggage
delivery; welcome aboard champagne; refrigerator in stateroom;
complimentary tote bag; upgraded toiletries and bath amenities; and
complimentary shoe shine and garment pressing.
Each Oceania ship has a passenger laundry room with ironing
stations.
Smoking is permitted only in the aft port side of
Horizons, and the starboard forward section of the outdoor Pool
Deck. All other areas are smoke-free, including all cabins and
balconies, restaurants, public rooms, and open decks except for the
two designated smoking areas. Oceania has some of the most
restrictive smoking regulations at sea with a "zero tolerance"
policy. Strict penalties are imposed upon those who smoke outside
designated areas—up to and including disembarkation from the ship.
Numerous activities are available, such as wine tastings,
culinary demonstrations, computer classes, and stimulating lectures
by featured celebrity guest speakers.
Before visiting each port of call, the cruise director presents a
historical background on the culture, traditions, and language of
the upcoming destination.
The dessert cart at afternoon tea is a decadent treat.
