FUN FACTS

Sails on the four-masted Wind Spirit are set and trimmed by computers. 

The on board computers that monitor wind velocity and direction control heeling of Wind Spirit to less than six degrees. 

The captain of Wind Spirit maintains an open-bridge policy and welcomes passengers to the navigation bridge anytime to watch the computer trim the sails. 

All standard staterooms on Wind Spirit are an identical 188 square feet and have an ocean view; a deluxe owner's cabin with dining/sitting area measures 220 square feet. 

Stateroom amenities on Wind Spirit include flat screen television, DVD/CD player, personal safe, refrigerator, mini-bar, international direct-dial phones, wireless Internet, Bose SoundDock speakers, private bathrooms with shower toiletries by L’Occitane, hair dryer, vanity, magnifying mirror, Euro-Top mattresses, luxury bedding, Egyptian cotton towels, plush robes and slippers. 

Each stateroom is equipped with one standard U.S. 110 and European 220 volt (converter recommended) AC electric outlets.

The library on Wind Spirit has books, compact discs, and videos to borrow. 

Evening meals are open seating in Wind Spirit’s main restaurant, meaning passengers arrive when they wish and sit where and with whom they please. 

Wind Spirit’s light and vegetarian menu selections feature several healthy choice options for guests sensitive to their intake of calories and fat grams.

The Veranda Cafe serves breakfast and lunch, while continental breakfast and afternoon tea are served on the Pool Deck.

The Wind Spirit fitness center is outfitted with equipment comparable to shore side gyms for passengers who wish to maintain their regular fitness regime.

Wind Spirit boasts a Marina deck at her stern that opens when she is docked or anchored.  Guest can swim, snorkel, water ski, kayak, or windsurf from the Marina deck, all with complimentary on board equipment. 

Evening entertainment on Wind Spirit usually includes a trio for dancing, the small casino, and stargazing. 

The Instructional Wheel on Wind Spirit’s top deck is a fixed ship’s wheel where sailing lessons are offered to passengers. 

“Casual elegance” is the suggested dress code on Wind Spirit; no suit, tie, or formal eveningwear is required. 

With its large skylight, Wind Spirit’s lounge is flooded with natural light during daytime hours. 

Wind Spirit has a hot tub and saltwater swimming pool. 

To the extent feasible, the needs of physically challenged guests are accommodated; however, Wind Spirit has no elevators and may be unsuitable for passengers requiring wheelchairs.
