A "Glory-ous" New 'Fun Ship' from Carnival

Public Areas

Carnival Glory - Atrium

Old Glory Atrium

She's bright, she's big, and she hums with excitement! Most of all, Carnival Glory is colorful. Surprisingly, the intimate nature of some public rooms belie her size.

Old Glory atrium is the center of activity as guests sip cocktails at Colors lobby bar, take care of business at the Reception Desk, or discuss tour options with the Shore Excursion staff. A second, smaller Spectrum atrium outside the Platinum Restaurant is crowned by an intriguing multi-colored glass "meteorite" sculpture.

Public rooms are primarily located along Decks 3, 4, and 5. Amber Palace, the main show lounge, anchors all three decks forward. Styled in the manner of the "amber room" in Catherine's summer palace outside St. Petersburg, Russia, and complete with regal crystal chandeliers, the three-level tiered seating is provided in either a comfortable sofa/chair/table arrangement or theater-style seats. Views of the stage are obstructed by few columns.

Kaleidoscope Boulevard is the main promenade on Deck 4 anchoring the entries to a variety of lounges and public rooms, each with a distinctive style reflected in the decor:

  • On the Green, a sports bar celebrating golf

  • Camel Club Casino, in the style of a north African caravan complete with a ceiling "tent" of Persian carpets and whimsical camel statues (great places for photo ops)

  • Kaleidoscope Bar, serves the casino and surrounding seating areas where guests listen to the pianist or people-watch along the promenade

  • White Heat Dance Club, a sizzling disco with white "heat" provided by hundreds of candle lights

  • Burgundy Bar, appeals to wine connoisseurs

  • Cinn-A-Bar, features a revolving piano in its central bar and an intriguing cinnabar hued glass wall that casts a warm glow from the Promenade lights

  • Bar Blue, celebrates the colorful palette of peacock feathers in deco fashion and is the spot for rollicking karaoke parties

  • Ebony Cabaret, a sophisticated lounge highlighting elements of African design, including rich ebony woods and African fabrics inlaid in the table tops

  • Ultraviolets, the expansive Teen Dance Club and gaming center

Deck 3 is where you'll find:

  • The Photo Gallery, where the ship's photographers display guest photos

  • The Green Room for meetings and weddings

  • Black and White Library with a modest selection of books and board games

  • Club Crimson, a clubby lounge in deep red and black with faux fireplace

  • Cyberspace to surf the Internet

  • Ivory Club, a grand Indian-themed lounge with intimate seating spaces for after-dinner cigars and brandy accompanied by a jazz trio.

Light plays a large part in the colorful decor of Carnival Glory. As passengers move about the ship, ceilings lights reflect in the granite floors to create an ever-changing kaleidoscope of color in the Old Glory lobby and along the Promenade. Look up... ceilings subtly change color. Even the view from the panorama elevators is a work of art as hidden lights continuously create unique freestyle forms on the opposite wall during the ascent.

For Your Active Lifestyle
Carnival Glory - Lido Deck & Waterslide Staffed by Steiner Leisure, the Spa on Deck 11 boasts a full menu of salon treatments and spa indulgences. For those who consider perspiration a sign of good health, the Gym sports state-of-the art equipment and a wide range of exercise classes. For sheer serenity, the spa's therapy-style Jacuzzi is a haven in a South Pacific setting complete with waterfalls and tropical plants. The entire gym has incredible sea views, but if your workout includes nothing more strenuous than time in the sauna or steam room, you won't be shortchanged—they each have glass walls and endless vistas.

Joggers and walkers can complete their laps on the uninterrupted jogging track's cushioned surface aft on Deck 11 (nine times around equals a mile). If sunning is your thing, the Turquoise Pool has ample deck chairs on terraced landings and there are more surrounding the Azure Pool aft and one deck up overlooking the action. Nearby bars serve soft drinks, beer, and cocktails in both pool locations.

For a quick thrill, try the 214 foot long waterslide!

Carnival Glory - Camp Carnival

Camp Carnival

Camp Carnival
With record numbers of families setting sail on cruise vacations, Carnival Glory and Camp Carnival are prepared. The 4,200-square foot Under the Rainbow play area is dedicated to delighting youngsters with structured activities tailored for specific age groups. Toys, games, computers, a children's pool... and, most importantly, trained counselors—Camp Carnival provides an entertaining, educational, and safe environment for kid-fun.

Teenagers, always difficult to please, can opt to participate in a wide range of sports, dance parties, and entertainment options or simply hang out with new-found pals in Ultraviolets, their own 1,800-square foot high-tech game room/dance club. A short time is set aside early every evening for teens to dance in the adult disco.
