Long Beach Cruise Terminal

On Monday, April 14, 2003, Carnival Cruise Line's Ecstasy arrived at the Long Beach Cruise Terminal.

What's the big deal? Well, she was the first cruise ship to dock at Carnival Corporation's Long Beach Cruise Terminal. Adjacent to the historic Queen Mary, the state-of-the-art $40 million cruise facility ushered in an exciting new era in the company's West Coast operations.

The terminal, the first in the United States built by a cruise operator, will be home to Carnival Cruise Lines' Long Beach-based passenger vessels

The Long Beach Cruise Terminal at the Queen Mary features a single, 1,100-foot long, 28-foot deep berth capable of accommodating today's massive mega-liners, along with a 1,450-vehicle parking garage, and a 30,000-square foot embarkation/debarkation facility that takes up nearly half of the existing geodesic dome that once housed Howard Hughes' famous Spruce Goose seaplane.

For additional information, including maps and parking information, see Cruise Ships--Long Beach, CA.
