MIAMI, May 28: The Yachts of Seabourn took delivery of Seabourn Sojourn today at the T. Mariotti shipyard in Genoa, Italy. Sojourn represents the company’s fifth yacht and the second of three 450-guest vessels being added to Seabourn’s fleet of intimate yachts. The line has won numerous awards and consistent acclaim for highly personalized service; sumptuous, all-suite accommodations; superb cuisine and exceptional delivery of the most desirable destinations worldwide.

British supermodel and fashion icon Twiggy will be godmother to Sojourn and officially name the yacht during an onboard ceremony on the River Thames at London on June 4, 2010. In addition, on the following day the company has donated Sojourn to the non-profit Breast Cancer Haven as the venue for a gala fundraising event to celebrate the charity’s 10th anniversary on June 5.

“I am so proud to accept delivery of our newest yacht, Seabourn Sojourn,” said Pamela C. Conover, Seabourn’s President and CEO. “She is absolutely beautiful and luxurious. Sojourn is the second of three new yachts, with the first having already received rave reviews and praise from travel agents, the press and most of all, from our guests over the past year. I’m gratified that Seabourn’s yachting style of cruising is more popular than ever.”

Following the inaugural celebration, Sojourn will begin her maiden season on June 6 and operate 12- to 14-day voyages in the summer to the Baltic, Scandinavia, Russia, Norwegian Fjords, and Scotland, as well as several Mediterranean voyages in the fall. On Nov. 3, Sojourn will sail on a 12-day transatlantic cruise from Lisbon, Portugal, to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where it will operate a series of Caribbean voyages in the winter.

On Jan. 5, 2011, Sojourn will embark on a world cruise from Los Angeles to London via the South Pacific, New Zealand, around Western Australia, Indonesia and Southeast Asia, India, Arabia and the Mediterranean. Rates for the full 111-day world cruise begin at $49,995 per person, based on double occupancy, and include many exciting benefits and amenities, such as a pre-cruise Bon Voyage event with dinner and luxury overnight in Los Angeles, special shoreside events and exclusive complimentary shore excursions, Personal Valet luggage shipping service, and shipboard credits of $1,000 per guest ($2,500 per person if booked by June 30). Onboard gala celebrations and special gifts will also be available for guests during the voyage.

Like its sister-ship, Seabourn Odyssey, Sojourn will accommodate guests exclusively in spacious suites, 225 in total, 90 percent of which have private verandas. Top of the range suites include Wintergarden Suites with private solarium and veranda, and Signature Suites with sweeping verandas and unrivalled views facing forward. All suites will feature separate living areas and bedrooms, writing desks with personalized stationery, iPod and MP3 connections and spacious granite bathrooms with separate bath and shower and twin sinks.

The new vessel will offer four dining venues, and six bars and lounges serving a full range of beverages, including fine wines and spirits with Seabourn’s compliments.

Celebrity Mercury to Become Second Ship in TUI Cruises Fleet

MIAMI, May 27: Celebrity Cruises' Celebrity Mercury will become the second ship in the fleet of TUI Cruises, a cruise brand established in 2008 through a joint venture between Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. and TUI AG, tailored for the German market. The new ship, to be named Mein Schiff 2, will become sister ship to Mein Schiff (the former Celebrity Galaxy), which set sail in May 2009.

"Celebrity Mercury has been a cherished member of the Celebrity family since she entered service in 1997, and has offered countless guests outstanding vacation experiences," said Celebrity Cruises President & CEO Dan Hanrahan. "We are dedicated to offering the same impeccable service our brand is known for right up until the ship transitions to TUI Cruises, and we are confident that the ship's future with TUI Cruises is very bright." Hanrahan assured that the future for the crew on Celebrity Mercury is equally bright. "With the rapid growth and momentum of the Celebrity brand, and the fourth member of our five-ship Solstice Class fleet, Celebrity Silhouette, launching in July 2011, we have abundant opportunities for the fine crew on Celebrity Mercury to transfer to another Celebrity ship."

Celebrity Mercury joined the Celebrity Cruises fleet in November 1997, and was built by Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany -- builder of Celebrity's widely heralded, new Solstice Class fleet. The 77,713-ton ship carries 1,898 guests (double occupancy) and 909 crew. Celebrity Mercury will complete its scheduled sailings through the Feb 14, 2011, itinerary. Guests with individual bookings and named group bookings on Celebrity Mercury on or after Feb 26, 2011 have the option to either cancel their booking or move to any Celebrity Mercury sailing from Baltimore from Oct 18, 2010, through Feb 14, 2011, with the exception of the Dec 20, 2010 itinerary.

Guests who pursue this option will receive an onboard credit of $75 per stateroom for inside or ocean-view accommodations; $100 per stateroom for veranda or Concierge Class, and $200 per suite. Guests with reservations affected by the transition will be proactively contacted by Celebrity Cruises. Guests with questions specific to impacted bookings are welcome to call 1-888-281-9343.

Celebrity Mercury will enter service with TUI Cruises in May 2011, as Mein Schiff 2, following an extensive refurbishment resulting in additional verandas, an expanded spa and fitness area, inclusion of a teen bar, and a host of design elements and other attributes consistent with those found on Mein Schiff. Mein Schiff 2 will spend her first cruising season in the Baltic and Nordic regions. Full itinerary details will be published when bookings open June 1, 2010.

Those features include twin balconies in staterooms, the largest suites on the rivers, a swimming pool, fireside Library and an intimate chef’s table restaurant seating only 24 people complete with private chef. The average size of the staterooms aboard the vessel is a spacious 214 square feet, with suites boasting an impressive 350 square feet.

“We are particularly proud to introduce this distinctive and imaginative ship to the market. The Amabella’s new design features will take the river cruise experience to a new level, and continue the long list of innovations that have made AMAWATERWAYS the great success that it is today,” said AMAWATERWAYS President, Rudi Schreiner.

Indeed, advance anticipation for the new ship’s revolutionary features have already resulted in full charters for the 2010 and 2011 sailing seasons.

Amabella is the seventh custom-designed amenity-filled “AMA” ship to join the AMAWATERWAYS fleet cruising the Danube, Rhine, Main and Mosel rivers in Europe. Princess Cruises Honored by Port of San Francisco for Environmental Efforts

SANTA CLARITA, CA, May 24: Three Princess Cruises ships -- Sapphire Princess, Sea Princess, and Star Princess -- have just been named as gold-level winners of the Port of San Francisco 2009 Cruise Ship Environmental Award. The awards honor the ships’ “outstanding record in safeguarding the environment and protecting the air and water quality of San Francisco Bay during their port calls.” This is the fifth year Princess ships have earned this prestigious distinction. The annual award recognizes the vessel for demonstrating “the strong environmental commitment of Princess Cruises in the areas of air emission reduction, waste water treatment, and recycling and disposal programs for solid waste.” The honors are determined by San Francisco’s Cruise Terminal Environmental Advisory Committee (CTEAC), which operates a program to recognize cruise lines that are committed to environmentally responsible operations, include the deployment of ships using reduced emission system technology or cleaner-burning fuel.

The San Francisco awards follow on the heels of other environmental honors earned from ports where Princess ships call, including the Venice Blue Flag, recognizing the line’s commitment to reducing polluting emissions by burning cleaner fuels, plus the Port of Los Angeles Vessel Speed Reduction Recognition Flag for actions to reduce air emissions.

-- The Venice Blue Flag is awarded for the line’s efforts to safeguard the city of Venice, Italy, by burning low sulfur fuel in port to reduce air emissions. The flag recognizes ship companies who make a commitment to preserve this unique city and its historic monuments. This was the second year Princess has been honored with this flag. Four Princess ships - Royal Princess, Ruby Princess, Crown Princess, and Grand Princess called in Venice in 2009.
-- The Vessel Speed Reduction Flag recognizes Princess ships based at the Port of Los Angeles for following reduced speeds while entering and leaving the port as part of an effort to reduce air emissions. Princess was the only cruise line to earn this award, with all three home-ported vessels – Sapphire Princess, Golden Princess, and Coral Princess – commended for 100 percent compliance in following the reduced speeds.

“We are gratified that our environmental efforts are being recognized in many different ways in places around the world,” said Jan Swartz, Princess Cruises executive vice president. “We make our living taking people to beautiful destinations. We’re committed to doing our part to make sure they stay that way.”

Princess Cruises is committed to environmental practices which set a high standard for excellence and responsibility, and which help preserve the marine environment in which its ships operate. The company’s environmental goals and policies go beyond what is required by law and include a zero solid waste discharge policy, state-of-the-art environmental technology and waste management equipment, programs to minimize waste generated, and recycling where possible. The company also pioneered the use of shore power programs in the cruise industry to reduce air emissions. Additional information about Princess Cruises is available through a professional travel agent, by calling 1-800-PRINCESS, or by visiting the company's website at www.princess.com.

Cunard Line Unveils David Linley Artwork for the New Queen Elizabeth

May 20: Yesterday, in Chelsea near London, Cunard Line unveiled the stunning centerpiece for the Grand Lobby of the Line’s newest ship, Queen Elizabeth, debuting this fall. The artwork was specially commissioned to David Linley, son of the late Princess Margaret and the internationally famous photographer Lord Snowdon – and Her Majesty The Queen's only nephew – whose company specializes in the design and creation of fine furniture and marquetry. Work is already underway, and the completed 18 and a half foot panel will be shipped this summer to the Fincantieri shipyard at Monfalcone, Italy, where it will be installed over a four-day period to take pride of place at the heart of the ship just before she enters service in October. Designers for the new Queen Elizabeth’s interiors considered the best way to treat the Grand Lobby’s soaring central arched space on the sweeping staircase leading up from the main deck, as it is the first area to greet embarking guests.

Linley’s magnificent work shows the port bow of the original Queen Elizabeth seen dramatically from sea level, and is intricately executed using the technique of marquetry inlay with nine individual panels made of various types of wood veneers seamlessly jointed to lightweight board. Featured woods are Madrona, Indian ebony, American walnut, grey ripple sycamore, burr ash, bird’s eye maple, satin walnut, ash, burr walnut and Macassar ebony – all utilized to depict the evocative image of one of Cunard’s most elegant Queens.

“We needed to fill that space with a decorative screen which would not just be dramatic – a ‘wow’ factor in an area already full of ‘wow’ – but which would also reflect our emphasis on traditional and sumptuous materials,” said Peter Shanks, president of Cunard Line. “After much thought and exploratory work, it was decided to commission a marquetry panel depicting the original Queen Elizabeth, an Art Deco icon, using a variety of natural woods from around the world. Once we had decided on the theme and the medium, it didn’t take us long to conclude that no one was better qualified for this detailed but monumental work than the company of the exceptional craftsman David Linley, whose creative ability and mastery of wood is renowned.”

“Though we have made fittings for luxury yachts in the past,” said Linley, who founded his company in 1985, “this is the first sea-going work we have done on this scale – it is certainly the largest screen we have ever made – but it was a commission I was delighted to accept. I recall my father saying the interior design on Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth 2 made one proud to be British, so I am hoping our achievement on the new Queen Elizabeth will make him – and others – equally proud.”

Queen Elizabeth will be the second largest Cunarder ever built and will join her sisters, Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria, as part of the youngest fleet in the world. The first Queen Elizabeth was one of Cunard’s greatest ships, and the new Queen Elizabeth will reflect her predecessor in interior grandeur, décor and style, but with a modern twist. Queen Elizabeth will depart on her Maiden Voyage on Tuesday, Oct 12, 2010. This 13-night celebration will leave from the company’s home port, Southampton, and will call at Vigo, Lisbon, Cadiz, Las Palmas, Santa Cruz de Tenerife (overnight call) and Funchal. She will then embark on five celebratory maiden voyages to the Mediterranean, Northern Europe and the Caribbean. For more information and to book a voyage aboard Queen Elizabeth, consult your Travel Agent, call toll-free 1-800-7-CUNARD (1-800-728-6273) or go to www.cunard.com.

The Yachts of Seabourn Announces Twiggy As Godmother To Seabourn Sojourn

MIAMI, May 13: The Yachts of Seabourn has announced that Twiggy will be the Godmother of its newest yacht, Seabourn Sojourn, at a glamorous naming ceremony hosted on board on the River Thames Friday, June 4th, 2010. On Saturday, June 5th, The Yachts of Seabourn has donated Seabourn Sojourn to the non-profit Breast Cancer Haven as the venue for an exclusive fundraising gala event to celebrate the charity’s 10th anniversary. Following an early morning transit of the River Thames, Sojourn will position mid-river at Greenwich for two days of inaugural celebrations, and will sail from there on its maiden voyage on Sunday, June 6th.

Twiggy exploded onto the international modeling scene as a London teenager in 1966. She went on to define the term ‘supermodel’ and to become the icon of 1960s style worldwide. In the early 1970s she became an actress and singer, winning two coveted Golden Globe Awards for her first film “The Boyfriend’. In the 1980s she took Broadway by storm in the Tony Award-winning Gershwin musical ‘My One & Only.” More recently, she has been a judge on America’s Next Top Model and fronted the phenomenally successful campaign for the British retail giant Marks & Spencer. Along with this she designs her own clothing and bed linen lines in the UK and has just launched her ‘Twiggy London’ collection in the United States on the Home Shopping Channel. She is an ardent campaigner for animal welfare and breast cancer support. Twiggy’s renowned elegance and style perfectly complement the values of Seabourn, reflected in the gracious lines and sophistication of Seabourn Sojourn, which she is delighted to be naming in her home town of London.

“I am incredibly excited that Seabourn has asked me to be Godmother to Seabourn Sojourn.” said Twiggy. “Her stylish interiors and sleek silhouette make her one of the most elegant yachts at sea. I am thrilled that Seabourn is combining their inaugural celebrations with Breast Cancer Haven’s 10 year anniversary – it really is a wonderful organization.’’

Pamela Conover, president and CEO of The Yachts of Seabourn commented, “Seabourn enjoys a truly international clientele and welcomes a significant number of new and repeat British guests on nearly every sailing. As such, it is entirely appropriate that we should choose London to introduce our beautiful new vessel to the world. We are all very much looking forward to welcoming Twiggy on board Seabourn Sojourn on June 4th. She is the perfect choice to name our beautiful new yacht in London. ‘’

Seabourn Sojourn is the second of the three new, ultra-luxurious vessels to be launched by the Yachts of Seabourn in a three-year period. The first, Seabourn Odyssey, launched in 2009, has already been hailed as a “game-changer” in the luxury cruise segment. Seabourn Sojourn departs on its Maiden Voyage from Greenwich on June 6th, 2010. Destinations on the 14-night ‘Northern Star Sojourn’ cruise include Scotland, Denmark, Iceland, the Norwegian Sea, Norway and the Netherlands. The voyage ends on June 20th in Dover, England.

Seabourn Sojourn will sail a series of 12- to 14-day voyages of Scandinavia, Russia and the Baltic throughout the summer season of 2010. All fares are remarkably inclusive, including all tips and gratuities, fine dining, open bar and a fully stocked mini-bar. Carnival Cruise Lines, Port of Seattle Inaugurate New Seattle-Based
Alaska Cruise Program

MIAMI, May 11: Carnival Cruise Lines launched its first-ever cruises from Seattle today when the 2,124-passenger Carnival Spirit departed on a 7-day voyage to Alaska – the first of 17 cruises that will bring some 40,000 passengers to the city this season. Carnival’s new Seattle-based Alaska program will run through Aug. 31, 2010, with week-long Glacier Bay cruises departing every Tuesday from the port’s newest cruise terminal, Smith Cove Cruise Terminal at Pier 91. Ports of call include popular Alaskan destinations of Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan, as well as Victoria and cruising Tracy Arm Fjord.

To commemorate the start-up of Carnival’s new service from Seattle, a special reception and luncheon was held on board the Carnival Spirit, attracting more than 400 community leaders and local officials. The event was part of the annual Maritime Festival Luncheon sponsored by Seattle’s chapter of the Propeller Club.

“We have received a warm welcome from our friends in Seattle, which is a wonderful addition to our industry-leading North American homeport choices. In addition to outstanding support from the local community, including our travel agent partners, Seattle provides a convenient and affordable air transportation option and its location offers those in the western U.S. an opportunity to drive to their cruise,” said Gerry Cahill, Carnival’s president and CEO.

“Carnival’s passengers will pump nearly $2 million per ship visit into our economy,” said Port Commission President Bill Bryant. “17 Carnival calls here expected this year mean jobs and local tax revenue. We are pleased to welcome Carnival to their new home at the Port of Seattle.”

Seattle serves as an excellent gateway to Alaska, a region filled with awe-inspiring natural wonders, including calving glaciers, magnificent fjords and native sea and animal life, as well as interesting cultures and attractions. A wide range of shore excursions – from helicopter flightseeing and rainforest canopy tours to hiking, canoeing, kayaking expeditions and even alpine snorkeling – are available, providing guests myriad opportunities to experience and explore The Last Frontier.

And the Carnival Spirit is the ideal ship for Alaska, with 80 percent of staterooms featuring an ocean view or balcony – perfect for viewing the passing scenery--along with indoor and outdoor promenades, and a 14,500-square-foot health and wellness center. Guests also enjoy specially prepared “Just For Alaska” menu items featuring local fish, game and other ingredients, as well as full-service multi-course meals in the main dining room as well as casual options such as a 24-hour pizzeria. Carnival Spirit also features a classic American-style steakhouse with prime U.S.D.A. dry-aged steaks and other gourmet cuisine.

Carnival Spirit also offers a two-deck-high promenade lined with lounges, bars and nightspots, including a 1,200-seat theater showcasing lavish production shows, as well as full casino gambling, a wedding chapel, conference center and bow-to-stern wireless access. Four swimming pools – one of them heated – as well as Carnival’s signature Twister Waterslide, are featured, as well. Kids sailing on Carnival Spirit can enjoy three different children’s programs – Camp Carnival for ages 2-11, Circle “C” for ages 12 to 14, and Club O2 for 15- to 17-year-olds – with facilities and counselors dedicated to each group. Many activities in these programs feature fun, educational activities with an Alaska theme.

Reservations are currently being accepted for Carnival’s 2010 Alaska cruises from Seattle. For additional information and reservations, call 1-800-327-9501.

Celebrity Cruises Celebrates Strong Caribbean Presence By Designing New Sweepstakes

MIAMI – May 7: The color blue has long symbolized serenity, sky, ocean and tranquility, and this winter, Celebrity Cruises is offering cruisers a wide variety of ways to escape the demands of everyday life and immerse themselves in blue – the deep blue waters of the Caribbean Sea, that is. With eight ships representing over 80 percent of its fleetwide capacity–including its three newest ships–sailing the Caribbean this winter, Celebrity has created the “Cruise the Caribbean Sweepstakes” to give guests yet another potential opportunity to experience the ever-popular destination on its award-winning Solstice-class ships. Celebrity’s Cruise the Caribbean Sweepstakes will highlight the brand’s award-winning Solstice-class ships’ presence in one of the world’s most popular cruise destinations.

The sweepstakes will offer one grand prize of Royal Suite accommodations featuring Celebrity’s renowned European butler service for two people, five first prizes of an AquaClass stateroom for two, and 10 second prizes of a ConciergeClass stateroom for two, all on a seven-night Caribbean voyage roundtrip out of Fort Lauderdale on the award-winning Celebrity Solstice, or from Miami on Celebrity Eclipse, which took her maiden voyage in Southampton, England on April 26. Additionally, 20 Apple iPod Touch devices will be awarded as third prizes.

Celebrity’s Cruise the Caribbean sweepstakes began at 12:00 am Eastern Time on Friday, May 7, and will conclude at 11:59 pm on the Summer Solstice, June 21, 2010. The sweepstakes is open to residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia and Canada, who are 21 years of age or older. Winners will be selected beginning on June 24. Those interested in entering can do so via the cruise line’s website, at www.celebritycruises.com/cruisethecaribbean.

"Year after year, the Caribbean continues to be one of the most desirable destinations for discerning cruisers," said Lisa Z. Kauffman, Vice President, Marketing. "Guests and travel agents have long applauded our suite butler service, the amenities of our ConciergeClass veranda staterooms, and now the AquaClass accommodations offered on our Solstice-class ships. Our ‘Designed for you’ brand platform is really exemplified in the Caribbean, with a wide variety of itineraries where guests can enjoy world-class dining, extraordinary service and stunning onboard spaces on all of our ship classes. Our Cruise the Caribbean Sweepstakes not only showcases our Caribbean product, but it also will provide some lucky cruisers with the opportunity to experience our award-winning Solstice Class."

When the first Solstice-class ship, Celebrity Solstice, set sail in 2008, she introduced a new level of style and design previously unseen in the cruise industry. From more spacious staterooms and five specialty dining venues to the first “Lawn Club” and “Hot Glass Show” at sea, Celebrity Solstice was designed with discerning cruisers’ interests in mind, as was sister ship Celebrity Equinox, which launched in 2009 and will offer 10- and 11-night Caribbean sailings this winter.

Celebrity Eclipse offers the same compelling features as Celebrity Solstice and Celebrity Equinox, and is the industry’s first ship to offer the “Celebrity iLounge,” complete with a retail area offering the latest products through Celebrity’s Authorized Apple Reseller status, and the first to present “Qsine,” a “uniquely unordinary,” interactive dining venue complete with food and wine menus on iPads. Later this month, Celebrity Solstice will introduce a Celebrity iLounge, which will complement its line-up of highly stylized guest venues.

Celebrity’s Solstice Class has expanded Celebrity’s overall Caribbean line-up to include even more opportunities for guests to experience stylish accommodations, outstanding cuisine and exceptional service. Overall, Celebrity’s overall Caribbean lineup for 2010-11 offers many options for cruisers seeking a stylish escape:

Celebrity Century will present 4- and 5-night cruises roundtrip from Miami;
Celebrity Constellation will present 14-night Exotic Southern Caribbean cruises roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale;
Celebrity Eclipse will present alternating 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises roundtrip from Miami;
Celebrity Equinox will present 10- and 11-night Ultimate Caribbean cruises roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale;

Celebrity Solstice will round out her 2010 year-round Caribbean presence by continuing to offer 7-night cruises roundtrip out of Fort Lauderdale;
Celebrity Summit will continue to offer 7-night Southern Caribbean cruises departing roundtrip from San Juan.

Earlier this month, Celebrity launched a Caribbean booking promotion that features promotional rates and upgrade opportunities on select sailings. Between now and the end of May, cruisers can take advantage of extraordinary values, including free Solstice-class veranda upgrades, inside staterooms starting from $599 per person, and third- and fourth-berth rates from $349 per person, on select cruises sailing between May 2010 and April 2011. Princess Cruises’ Medical Departments Earn Unique Distinction with
Prestigious Quality Certification & Accreditation

SANTA CLARITA, CA, May 6: The Princess Cruises Medical Departments have once again been credited with meeting the quality health standards of an internationally recognized healthcare organization. Following a comprehensive survey of both its shipboard and shoreside medical departments, Princess Cruises has achieved an industry first by being awarded accreditation and ISO 9001:2008 certification for quality in health care. These awards recognize the excellent standards of medical care provided on board Princess’ vessels.

CHKS accreditation was first awarded to Princess in 2006 and, following comprehensive annual external surveys of its medical facilities, staff and procedures, in 2009 was re-accredited for a further three years. CHKS also certified that the Princess medical program meets the International Organization for Standardization’s quality standards (ISO 9001:2008) and has a management system in place that consistently meets customer and regulatory requirements. Princess is shortlisted to receive the CHKS Quality Improvement Award.

“I think many people would be surprised and reassured to know that our medical centers achieve similar quality standards to medical facilities ashore,” said Dr. Grant Tarling, MD, senior vice president and chief medical officer for Princess Cruises. “We’ve worked extremely hard to attain these outstanding achievements which demonstrate our dedication to providing the highest standards of medical care for our patients on board our ships.”

CHKS is a major UK based organization which works with public and private health care providers worldwide. They develop best practice standards and are accredited by the International Society for Quality in Healthcare (ISQua), the leading international healthcare quality policy and research organization, as well as by the UK Accreditation Services (UKAS) to award certification to the standards of ISO 9001:2008.

Princess Cruises’ medical department offers one of the industry's most advanced sea-going medical programs, featuring a staff of qualified, full-time maritime professionals who work within well equipped facilities suited to the practice of medicine in a maritime environment. In addition to the CHKS accreditation and ISO 9001:2008 certification, Princess' medical program meets or exceeds the cruise ship medical guidelines issued by the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP).

Princess ships are registered in Bermuda, a British Overseas Territory. Princess’ certification also applies to the medical programs of its sister lines Cunard Line, P&O Cruises UK, Ocean Village and P&O Cruises Australia, which are also operated by the Princess shoreside medical department. Additional information about Princess Cruises is available through a professional travel agent, by calling 1-800-PRINCESS, or by visiting the company's website at www.princess.com.

Summer Surprise: Seabourn Pride Back To Scandinavia In 2011

MIAMI, May 4: The Yachts of Seabourn has announced a change of deployment for its popular, 208-guest Seabourn Pride in the summer of 2011. The intimate, all-suite vessel will reposition from its winter Southeast Asia season in the spring and sail a series of 12-day Baltic & Russia cruises between Stockholm and Copenhagen, along with a pair of 15-day cruises round trip from Copenhagen to Norway’s Fjords and the North Cape. The revised schedule will be available for review at www.seabourn.com on May 19, and will also open for sale on that day. Seabourn Pride’s schedule will complement that of its larger sister-yacht, the 450-guest Seabourn Sojourn, which will be sailing shorter, 7- and 9-day voyages of the Baltic and Norway. The company had previously announced that Seabourn Pride would remain in Asia for the full year in 2011, sailing in China, Korea and Japan during the summer months. The decision to move the vessel back to Europe is a response to the popularity of the destination.

“The Baltic and Scandinavia region has been a perennial favorite for summer cruising among Seabourn guests, and Seabourn Pride has been extremely successful there” said Seabourn President and CEO Pamela Conover. “With the tremendous influx of new, first-time Seabourn guests in the past year, we want to offer the alternative of slightly longer Baltic itineraries, visiting some smaller, Seabourn Pride-style ports that have proven popular in the past.”

Baltic cruises on both Seabourn Sojourn and Seabourn Pride feature three full days in St. Petersburg, Russia, and both vessels are able to sail up the Neva River much closer to the city’s attractions than larger ships. Pride’s itineraries combine marquee Baltic ports such as Helsinki, Finland and Warnemuende, Germany (for Berlin) with picturesque towns such as Riga, Latvia; Klaipeda, Lithuania; Gdansk, Poland and island ports including Ronne, Denmark on Bornholm and Mariehamn in the autonomous Finnish islands of Aaland.

The change also adds two 14-day Rivers of Western Europe voyages between Lisbon and Dover and four Mediterranean cruises to the 2011 schedule, including a two-week autumn voyage of the Greek isles, Turkey and the Holy Land. In November 2011, Seabourn Pride will reposition back to Southeast Asia to operate its seasonal cruises in Vietnam and Thailand. Seabourn Pride’s 10- and 12-day cruises of China, Korea and Japan departing through October, 2010 are being offered at special Seabourn Value Fares with roundtrip airfare included, or at a reduced fare for cruise-only. For more information, contact a travel agent, call Seabourn at 1-800-929-9391 or visit www.seabourn.com.

Celebrity Cruises Designs Another Way to Quench Guests' Thirst for
Ease, Convenience & Value

MIAMI, May 4: Discerning cruisers have long applauded Celebrity Cruises for its award-winning ships' ability to deliver outstanding service, world-class cuisine and enriching activities in a stylish atmosphere. Now, inspired by its "Designed for you" brand platform and guests' positive response to being able to pre-book aspects of their cruise vacation such as shore excursions and specialty dining reservations, Celebrity has created a way for guests to purchase a variety of beverage packages before their cruise.

"We took our guests' favorite beverages and bundled them into packages that are simple to order from home," said Jacques Van Staden, Vice President, Culinary Operations. "By the time guests board the ship, they can relax knowing that their favorite drinks are arranged for; they can then focus on enjoying themselves in the spa, exploring destinations through shore excursions, or simply lounging by the pool. Based on our guests' feedback about what an ideal beverage package offering would comprise and cost, we designed the premium packages to offer even greater value than the classic packages," added Van Staden. "Essentially, the larger the package, the greater the savings to the guest."

As a result of extensive research and past guests' feedback, Celebrity has created four brand-new beverage packages. These include two classic options and two premium options. The "Classic Non-Alcoholic Package" features fountain and can soda, bottled and fresh-squeezed juices, premium coffee and bottled water, and is available at $14.95 per person, per day. The "Premium Non-Alcoholic Package" includes everything in the classic non-alcoholic package plus specialty non-alcoholic coffee drinks, additional name-brand bottled water choices, canned energy drinks and flavored bottled water offerings, smoothies and frozen non-alcoholic drinks, and is available at $18.40 per person, per day. Celebrity's new "Classic Package" features everything in the classic non-alcoholic package plus beers with a retail value of up to five dollars per serving and spirits, cocktails, and wines by the glass with a retail value of up to eight dollars per serving, and costs guests $44.85 per person, per day. The "Premium Package" features all the premium beverages in the premium non-alcoholic package plus all beers, and spirits, cocktails, and wines by the glass with a retail value of up to 12 dollars per serving, and is available for $56.35 per person, per day. All prices include a standard 15 percent service charge.

Celebrity also is offering its wine packages for pre-booking. These include the "Sommelier's Package," the choice of a 3-, 5-, or 7-bottle lineup of premium international wines; a wider variety of wines available in a "Captain's Package" or a "Build Your Own" wine package designed for guests who want to maximize their personal taste in wine while enjoying a discount. The "Build Your Own" package allows wine connoisseurs to select three upper-range bottles of wine that each cost at least $75, and enjoy a 15% discount. Bottles of wine enjoyed through any of Celebrity's wine packages can be uncorked in one onboard venue, then recorked and stored until the guest is ready to reopen them.

Included in Celebrity's new pre-booking functionality are the cruise line's longtime fountain soda program, a premium bottled water package offering unlimited bottles of brand-name natural spring water and sparkling water, the Riedel Wine Glass Comparative Workshop offered as part of the Celebrity Life "Savor" series, and several in-stateroom bar setup packages. Celebrity's beverage packages, which are sold on a per-person basis, can be purchased up to four days before sailing, via the line's website, www.celebritycruises.com/beveragepackages. Guests also can access the ordering system via a link in Celebrity's electronic pre-cruise documents, which also provide links that facilitate the pre-cruise booking of other offerings such as shore excursions, specialty dining reservations and complimentary "Celebrity Select Dining" main dining room preferences. Guests also can purchase Celebrity's beverage packages onboard after their cruise vacation begins.

When a guest pre-purchases a beverage package, it will flag the check-in system to add corresponding graphic icons per package to the guest's SeaPass card. A guest will simply need to present his or her SeaPass card in bars, restaurants or by the pool, to enjoy the pre-purchased package.

The packages became available for sale yesterday, and will become available onboard between May 14 and May 21, as ships have different launch dates for the new packages. Celebrity Xpedition, the 92-guest mega-yacht sailing year-round in the Galapagos Islands, offers guests complimentary onboard alcoholic beverages and soft drinks as part of the all-inclusive cruise fare, and does not offer beverage packages for purchase. Celebrity's wine packages are not available on Celebrity's Solstice-class ships.

Celebrity "soft-launched" some of the packages earlier this year by having several iterations available for pre-purchase on select sailings. If guests had pre-purchased prior versions of beverage packages for cruises that have not yet taken place, their purchase has been cancelled and will be fully refunded; Celebrity is contacting these guests.

Celebrity's ServSafe program teaches all of its bartenders and waiters how to serve alcohol responsibly and watch for over-consumption. If a guest purchases a beverage package and is suspected of over-consumption, bartenders and waiters will take appropriate action and may deny service, or serve water or non-alcoholic drinks instead.

The program is available to all guests, worldwide. Prices listed herein are in US currency; if a booking is made in foreign currency, all product prices will be displayed and paid for in that same currency. Celebrity's fleet currently consists of 10 ships. Its $3.7-billion investment in building five stylish Solstice Class ships between 2008-2012 represents the largest newbuild commitment for a single brand in industry history.
