Royal Princess
Princess Cruises

Built in 1984 -- 45,000 tons -- 1200 passengers (double capacity)

FUN FACTS

The beloved, late Princess Diana christened Royal Princess.

The inaugural sailing of Royal Princess was a media event and episodes of The Love Boat and Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous were filmed on board.  The relatively unknown television host of AM Chicago (Oprah Winfrey) was also aboard.

Serious swimmers enjoy one of the largest lap pools afloat on board Royal Princess.

All 600 of Royal Princess’ cabins are outside and 150 staterooms and suites have private balconies.

Four larger than normal accessible staterooms with 33.5” wide doorways and bathrooms fitted to land-based ADA standards are available on Royal Princess.

Royal Princess is one of the only ships afloat to offer bathtubs and showers in all staterooms.

The traditional gala champagne waterfall on formal night is an event not to be missed on a Royal Princess cruise.

Many dishes, including breads and desserts are baked or freshly prepared daily on Royal Princess.
